Not everyone who climbs has a partner. For those single climbers (or people trying to grab a few routes over lunch) the Rose Redpoint Descender is a great addition to your climbing wall. Auto belays allow for single climbers and greatly cut down on the number of attendants necessary to serve as a belayer for birthday parties, climbing classes, and team building events. The auto belay also works well with ropes courses and challenge courses.
Designed specifically for the recreational climbing industry, the device attaches to the top of the climbing wall and takes up rope as the climber climbs. Anytime the climber stops climbing and weighs the rope they are slowly lowered to the ground.
