Large

400 square feet of surface across an 11.5 × 9 ft footprint gives route-setters real creative range. Built for high-traffic parks, university campuses, and facilities that want a feature with long-term programming depth.

Medium

At 300 square feet across a 7.5 × 9 ft footprint, the Medium suits programs that need more route options without committing to a large site footprint. A practical fit for camps, rec centers, and school campuses.

Small

The most compact option at 8 feet tall and a 5.5 × 8 ft footprint. 200 square feet of climbable surface across multiple angles — sized right for a backyard, small parks, or school courtyard with limited space.

Key Features

Everything Included,
Assembles in a day.

Each boulder ships with the structure, hardware, and anchoring system you need to go from delivery to climbing.

Flat-packed, worldwide shipping

Every boulder ships as a set of engineered panels, each no larger than 4 ft × 7 ft. Compact packaging means lower freight costs and simpler logistics, whether you're in Colorado or the Caribbean.

Indoors
or Outdoors

UV-resistant, weather-resistant surfaces engineered for year-round exposure. These aren't repurposed indoor panels — they're built from the ground up for outdoor conditions.

Pre-engineered structure

Each boulder is designed and structurally certified before it ships. Bolts to a concrete pad or slab or can be anchored directly into the ground with included soil anchors.

Three sizes, one system

Small (200 SF / 8 ft tall), Medium (300 SF / 10 ft tall), and Large (400 SF / 12 ft tall). Pick the size that fits your space and budget — or choose a few to create a boulder 'garden.'

True do-it-yourself installation

A 3 person team with basic construction skills can assemble a complete boulder. No cranes. No welders. No subcontractors.

Resettable Routes

The pre-installed T-nut grid across every panel means you can remove holds, reset problems, and change the climbing experience any time — no drilling, no modification. One boulder, infinitely fresh.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a DIY Boulder cost?
Pricing starts at $12,000 for the Small (200 SF / 8 ft). Final pricing depends on size, indoors or outdoors materials, and any optional upgrades like route-setting or climbponents. Request a quote for a detailed estimate.
What surface do I need to install on?
Boulders bolt to a concrete slab or pad using the included steel substructure, or directly to the ground using soil anchors. We can advise on site preparation for your specific installation.
Can I install this myself?

By yourself, no. But with two friends absolutely - that's the whole idea. A 3 person team with basic construction skills — think deck-building or shed-assembly level — can complete the installation. No cranes, welders, or specialty subcontractors needed.

Are the panels rated for outdoor use?

The DIY Boulders can be manufactured for either indoor or outdoor placement. The outdoor panels are super-durable, UV-resistant, and highly weather-resistant, designed specifically for year-round outdoor exposure.

Can I move the boulder later?
Yes. The DIY Boulders are bolted together and there's an access panel that allows entrance to the inside of the boulder. Outdoor boulders can be moved indoors but indoor boulders are not made with materials that can withstand rain and moisture over time.
Do handholds come included?
Boulders ship as structural panels with a pre-installed T-nut grid ready for holds. Handholds, Climbponents, route-setting, and flooring are available separately so you can customize to your exact needs. Climbponents — Eldorado's proprietary modular climbing features — bolt directly onto the panels for out-of-the-box climbing variety.
What's the warranty?
Every DIY Boulder comes with a 5-year structural warranty and a 1-year warranty on materials and workmanship.
Where do you ship?
Anywhere in the world. The flat-packed design keeps international shipping practical and affordable.
